The Objective
Feedback had been received from client’s that our existing check-in screens were causing delays. My goal was to revamped and modernized the onsite attendee check-in screens, to create a sleek, user-friendly interface that not only improved functionality but set a new benchmark for industry standards.
A Dash of Research,
& Bold Changes
As with any project, this one began with research and brainstorming. The core issue was clear: the QR code scanning screen has been causing significant confusion for some attendees. My goal was to resolve this and elevate the user experience, all while keeping things as straightforward and intuitive as possible. Simple enough.
After a few meetings and several rounds of revisions, we finally arrived at the final design. With the vision now clear, it was time to shift gears and dive into development.
Since the core structure was already in place, development mainly involved updating some HTML, CSS, and JavaScript within a SQL (SSMS) environment. Once completed, the screen was cloned and implemented across various events starting in 2023, improving the check-in process across the board.
